Ram Murali has 30 years experience in IT industry spanning Strategy, Operations, Leading Large P&L Business units in Manufacturing and Logistics Industry vertical and incubating new capabilities. He spent couple of decades at Cognizant and prior to that worked in Tata Consultancy Services.

At Cognizant, initially he led Continental Europe business unit for Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy & Utilities (MLEU) growing the practice through partnership and establishing a solid footprint for growth in the later years. He played the role of COO (Chief Operating Officer) of MLEU business unit where he was responsible for driving strategic programs covering delivery, talent development, operations, margin optimization & creation of new service lines. Subsequently he played the critical role of Chief of Staff to the President, Industry verticals where he was instrumental in driving Cognizant Career Architecture Program for all verticals, cross Industry synergy opportunities and working closely with the President for Analyst, Board of Directors and NASSCOM meets.

In his most recent role as Vice President, he incubated the Analytics Practice in Digital Operations (a.k.a. BPS) as a Center of Excellence and transformed that into a P&L unit along with enabling large BPO deal wins with Analytics capability.

Given that Ram played multiple roles across business units in Cognizant, this has provided him with a well rounded expertise in multiple facets of the business. His collaborative style of working with various stakeholders internal and external has been instrumental in building capability, nurturing talent, strengthening partnerships and growing the business.
